God is Love

1 John 4:7-21: “God Is Love”
My dear friends, we must love each other. Love comes from God, and when we love each other, it shows that we have been given new life. We are now God’s children, and we know Him. God is love, and anyone who doesn’t love others has never known Him. God showed His love for us when He sent His only Son into the world to give us life. Real love isn’t our love for God, but His love for us. God sent His Son to be the sacrifice by which our sins are forgiven. Dear friends, since God loved us this much, we must love each other.
No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and His love is truly in our hearts.
God has given us His Spirit. That is how we know that we are one with Him, just as He is one with us. God sent His Son to be the Saviour of the world. We saw His Son and are now telling others about Him. God stays one with everyone who openly says that Jesus is the Son of God. That’s how we stay one with God and are sure that God loves us.
God is love. If we keep on loving others, we will stay one in our hearts with God, and He will stay one with us. If we truly love others and live as Christ did in this world, we won’t be worried about the day of judgement. A real love for others will chase those worries away. The thought of being punished is what makes us afraid. It shows that we haven’t really learnt to love.
We love because God loved us first. But we say we love God and don’t love each other, we are liars. We can’t see God. So how can we love God, if we don’t love the people we can see? The commandment that God has given us is: “Love God and love each other!”

Guys, all of us know that God is love, we are the people who believe Jesus is God must believe that Jesus is love too. We have read, the bible says that first commandment is we have to love God first and the second commandment is to love others as much as you love yourself.

So, what is love? We can also see in 1 Corinthians 13, Paul had described what love is even love is more then what Paul had described.
Love is not pretending. Love is real. Why do I say love is not pretending? Because now we can see a lot of people who take their parts in church don’t really have this love. They pretend to smile, they pretend to love, they pretend to serve, they sing, they shout aloud, but when you see what their life outside church, they are not like what they are when they were in church? They don’t really care about others. They pray, they preach, they teach, they say that they are God’s children, but Their prayers are empty, not from what are really in theirs hearts, not from their love for the people they pray.
If you have love for someone you are praying for, what you have prayed for them will be heard, even your prayers are not long words. God doesn’t see your long prayers, He sees deep in your hearts. Before you pray, He has already known what you want to pray. And the prayers come from love, come from your deeply hearts has great powers.
In big churches we also can see a lot of people who just want the position in their churches. I am very sad when I see these things with my own eyes. They try to be famous, they try to be known others. Let the position you get is not from the people, let God Himself who take you up to the position He wants you to be. If you try to, you will be disappointed. Let God is the one who call you to have this position, don’t try to pretend, People may not know what is in your heart. But Jesus knows all bad and good things in your heart. May you all be blessed by Jesus…Halleluya…Amen….
